उन्हाळी हंगामात जनावरांची काळजी
15 फेब्रुवारीनंतर थंडी कमी होत जाते. पुढे दिवसाचा कालावधी वाढत जातो. सात मार्चनंतर तापमान वाढण्यास सुरवात होते. दहा मार्चनंतर ते वेगाने वाढतच जाते. एप्रिल महिन्यात उन्हाची तीव्रता वाढते. या काळात जनावरांना सावलीची आवश्यकता असते. त्याचप्रमाणे पिण्याची पाण्याची गरजही वाढते. या सर्व बाबी हळुवारपणे घडत असताना जनावरांकडे लक्ष देणे अत्यंत गरजेचे असते. गरजेनुसार हिरवा चारा आणि स्वच्छ पाणी जनावरांना पुरवावे.

सुरू उसाची लागवड ः
सुरू उसाच्या लागवडीसाठी सध्याचे हवामान उत्तम आहे. लागवडीसाठी 10 ते 11 महिने वयाचे बेणे निवडावे. बेणे पाच वर्षांतून एकदा बदलावे. बियाणे रसरशीत, निरोगी आणि जातिवंत असावे. को-86032 किंवा फुले 265 या जाती लागवडीसाठी उत्तम आहेत. कारण या जातींचा खोडवा उत्तम येतो. हेक्टरी 250 किलो नत्र, 115 किलो स्फुरद आणि 115 किलो पालाश द्यावे. यापैकी 25 किलो नत्र 115 किलो स्फुरद व पालाश लागवडीचे वेळी द्यावा. त्याबरोबर हेक्टरी 30 ते 40 बैलगाड्या किंवा 15 ते 20 टन शेणखत किंवा कंपोस्ट खत द्यावे. सरी चार फूट रुंदीची असावी. एकरी दोन डोळ्यांची 10 ते 12 हजार टिपरी लागतील. डोळे दोन्ही बाजूस राहतील, अशा प्रकारे टिपरी सरीत लावावीत. मातीने ती झाकावीत किंवा सरीत पाणी देऊन टिपरी लावावीत.
